Day 11- Another picture of you and your friends

Identified 3rd Brithday Party

Myself and the lovely Gaby, who is a friend and also one half of the combination who keeps my hair looking fabulous.

Many many years ago, on this precise date, at exactly 10:30pm WAST, and 4:30pm in my city of origin, I was born.

Last night I went out with a few friends and hit the town.
It started off with a bbq, The Impregnator making Mojitos, most people trying to avoid drinking the carton of Export that a certain someone had brought, and everyone trying to avoid being captured in “natural” shots by our local paparazzi.

We then packed into vehicles and entered TIGER RRrrrrrrrILLS
Usually the music is decent.
It was decidedly terrible – borderling drum and bass.
There was a bongo player, who may have spotted me imitating him.
This resulting in me having to get up on the stage and drum.
At first I pretended that I was a clueless girl, and had no idea what to do, then I ripped it to shreds and he hastily shooed me off, before I outshone him.

I got prank phone called by some clearly bored friends in Melbourne… Thanks Stu!
Ate a very messy kebab, and crashed at a friend, as I didn’t have my car with me.

All in all a decent and pretty low key night.

Fez’s 21st..

As Fez is a valuable member of the Thursday Night Drinking Crew at Richo, we HAD to attend.
The theme was cartoon characters or super heroes.

So, we packed a car full of Josie and the Pussycats, James Bond and Ace Ventura and off we went.. Drinks on the way.

I won Pass the Parcel, which was a box full of 5 different flavours of Absolut Vodka.
We started the dance party, amazed everyone with our interpretive dance moves and ate most of the snacks.

For Fez the turn out was a bit of a let down, and he was a tad bit bummed, but when the five of us, plus another took him to a 1.5 million dollar boat flowing with alcohol, for a very intimate after party, we knew that he would never forget this birthday for the rest of his life.

Good times, with good people, and no sleep for Samn.
Drunkest awards goes to Oosterhof, Kirst and Fez.

Sending some birthday love towards this beardy man otherwise known as EVIL NeeeEVILe. aka Dad.
Hope you are enjoying exploring the English countryside with Mom.

Here’s some pics when you weren’t turning 55.

In fact you guys were my age.
Aah.. Younger Mom and Dad!

Baking for Friends

Yesterday I was commissioned to bake a Vegan cake for a colleague who is celebrating their birthday this weekend.

Chocolate was the suggestion, so in between work yesterday and my best friend’s farewell party. I baked a cake.
However I only managed to get to the icing and glaze at around midnight when I got home.
Finished just before 1am, and this was the final product.

Birthday/Housewarming/World Vegan Day

I took the opportunity to invite my close friends to spend the afternoon with my brother and I in our new house.

I love the fact that in order to get to the city we have to cross two different rivers, drive past a massive lake in a regional park, and slowly drive past a tortoise crossing.

I also love the fact that right outside my front door is a park.

I baked up a feast and we had an afternoon tea/bbq.
Everything I provided was vegan and mostly gluten free. Did not know how many people to expect but there was plenty for everyone.

This was just the counter in the kitchen, that I had prepared.

Stuffed Olives, Strawberry Cupcakes, Vanilla Cupcakes, Choc Chip Brownies, Sundried Tomato-Spinach and Cheese Muffins, Gourmet Salad, Corn Chips and Salsa, Garden Salad, Tiny Pastries and More

For some, it was there first experience with Vegan food. I’m happy to say they were impressed, and are keen to borrow some recipe books. Hurrah!

I hope you all enjoyed and celebrated Vegan Day in your own special way.
