No Roosters, Just Hens..

We helped fellow team mate Tash, celebrate her last night of singleness last night, in the hired upstairs of Carnegies. The theme was wigs, so we all looked incredibly tacky in our shiny synthetic dos.

Our car all became blondes, and poor Hayls had to hobble, as when she and I had filled in for a lower team yesterday, she had rolled her ankle and it was seriously HUGE!
No drinking for her… or dancing either (except for her occasional chair dance moves).

The $700 was exhausted by 9pm. at 9:30pm they let the general public up, and now there were lots of men.. and some very drunken wig girls around.
I escourted Kat to the bar, where she started talking to some boys whilst I was getitn sodas… I thought it was kinda weird she was being so friendly as she is engaged and getting married soon. Little did I know, she was trying to pick them up for me. ha ha ha.
I was so oblivious. Not keen though. Too soon!

Was a decent night.. Our carload were the sober, respectable girls of the evening, but we still ripped up the floor and had a good time.
It’s our club day today, and we gotta be there at 11:30am to set up at Perth Hockey Stadium. Our match is at 6pm. It’s gonna be a long day, and hopefully most of our team still won’t be drunk for the Hen’s night, by the time we have to play.

Ps. Our goalie is DEAD. She woke me before 8:30am this morning…
Revenge will be sweet,

Our tradition..

Not much longer now, till we fulfill our tradition of going down south for our core group’s HEN”S WEEKEND.

The first one to get hitched was Chantelle almost 3 years ago.
This is the tour of our pad!

Clare, you’re next!!

De-Hermitified

Due to illness, injury and some unfortunate personal circumstances, I found over the last two years I have become a hermit.
Friday nights is traditionally stay at home with Benny and watch movies night. Saturday nights, often the same.

However I have furthered friendships with some pretty amazing people, through sport.
I have been spending a lot of time with some of the girls from my hockey club, namely Bianca and Kirst and they are doing their best to get me back up to speed.. Sometimes three times in one week!

Otherwise it’s the lovely ladies I know from surfing. The likes of Larissa, Amy and Briony.

JUST AS EXCITING, my best friend Sarah has finally flown back from India. It’s good to have her back after nearly three long months.
So good to see her face all the time. Oh and the HUGS!

Next weekend is our traditional Girls Hen’s Weekend down south, as Clare gets married in a few weeks.
Just the original crew, who I have been doing life with, since I moved to Australia.. back when we were all scrawny teenagers.
Clare, Sarah, Chantelle and Jess… It’s going to be amazing!

Another one bites the dust..

Out of our close friends of five, the second is about to get married.
Exciting isn’t it?

We’ve been looking forward to it for a while.

Clare has been very very busy making last minute arrangements and payments for the big day which is next month. Here is a cute letter from her to her finance.

Our group tradition is just before one of us is married off, we take a girly weekend (I guess it would be the Hen’s night equivilent) down south to Margaret River. One of our favourite places.
The land of wineries, caves, cheese and chocolate factories and beautiful forest and bushland.

I’ve already told my coach I’m unable to play that weekend – and he replied with – as long as you make the most of it, and consume lots of alcohol. Yeah good one coach! ha ha.
